Mamothalo Primary School is a public primary school located at Laastehoop, Ga-Molepo, in the Capricorn District of Limpopo. As a Quintile 2 school, we provide free quality education to 667 learners from Grade R to Grade 7.

In 2016, Mamothalo Primary School was officially opened by U.S. Ambassador Patrick Gaspard, with funding from the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation. This partnership built our school to serve 700+ learners, strengthening ties between our community and the United States. [citation:8]

What are school hours?
School runs Monday-Friday from 07:30 to 14:00. Gates open at 06:45.
Is Mamothalo a no-fee school?
Yes! Mamothalo is a Quintile 2 no-fee school. There are no compulsory school fees. The government provides R1,602 per learner annually. [citation:1]
What age for Grade R?
Children must turn 5 by June 30 in the year of admission. For Grade 1, children must turn 6 by June 30.
Do you provide transport?
We currently do not provide transport. Parents are responsible for arranging transport to and from school.
Do you have a nutrition program?
Yes! We participate in the National School Nutrition Programme, providing a healthy meal to all learners daily.
